FACT FINDING ENQUIRY – COMPLAINTS OF OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS IN THE KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA

Prime Minister’s Inspection Commission (PMIC) was mandated to carry out a fact finding enquiry on the complaints of overseas Pakistanis in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, involving Ministry of Interior (MoI); Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA); and Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (M/o OP&HRD) to implement the orders of the Prime Minister and identify the guilty alongwith concrete steps to alleviate sufferings of Overseas Paksitanis.

2.                     Subsequent to the orders of the Prime Minister, disciplinary proceedings were initiated against delinquent officers.   Charges leveled against them were established during the disciplinary proceedings. Accordingly, the Prime Minister, as Authority, imposed major penalty of “Dismissal from Service” and “Compulsory Retirement from Service” upon them.

3.                     With regard to settlement of 574 cases of death compensation / dues payment, M/o OP&HRD constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Secretary to undertake immediate steps towards early settlements of cases. Approximately, 500 cases needed settlements which are nearly settled and only few cases are pending with legal heirs, CWAs, under process in NADRA for verification or in courts due to succession certificate issues.

4.                     The Honourable Prime Minister has acknowledged the efforts of concerned Ministries for diligently undertaking the exercise benefitting general public. PMIC under the guidance of Honourable Prime Minister takes pride in alleviating the sufferings of public and concluding this task through concerted efforts of all.
