The Affairs of Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB)

 

The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) has been constituted by the Federal Government under the Evacuee Trust Properties (Management & Disposal) Act, 1975. It is a corporate body with power to acquire, hold and dispose of both movable and immovable properties.

Misunderstandings/differences cropped up between the Chairman and Members of the Board and the Ministry of Minorities Affairs. On a Summary of the M/o Minorities Affairs, relating to complaints against the Chairman ETPB, the Prime Minister directed the Prime Minister's Inspection Commission to probe into the matter thoroughly and submit its report.
